FAQ
What are online contributions?
Online Contribution is a direct payment program whereby your contribution is debited automatically from your checking or savings account into your church’s bank account.
What are the advantages of contributing online?
It makes it easy to fulfill stewardship commitments, even when you can’t attend church. You never have to bring cash or checks to church. Giving electronically also helps the church save money and improve our budget! The company we use (Giving Tools) does takes only 25 cents per transaction, not a percentage like some companies.
Who should contribute online?
Anyone who is looking for a simpler way to ensure their contributions. Anyone who would like to give to the ministry of King’s Cross Church on a recurring basis.
Are online contributions secure?
Yes! Contributing online is less risky than writing checks or bringing cash to church. Electronic contributions cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed and have an extremely high rate of accuracy. We use a secure site provided through Farmers & Merchant’s State Bank. All information is confidential and secure.
How and when will my contribution be deducted from my account?
Once you complete the online registration form, the contribution amount you specify will automatically be transferred from your bank account to the church’s bank account on the date or dates you specify on the donation form.
Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my contribution?
After you make your online contribution, the bank will automatically generate an email receipt to you with the subject “King’s Cross Church Payment”. Electronic contributions are also recorded for you on your bank statement as well as your online reports.
Can I designate my online contribution to a special purpose or ministry?
At this time all online contributions are directed to the general fund. You can always email the church treasurer, Chad Baus, to inform him of a detail related to your giving.
Will my online contributions be included on my annual contribution statement?
Yes. Online contributions are handled just as contributions which are mailed or given at our regular services.
What if I change bank accounts?
Simply login and update your account information.
What if I try it and don’t like it?
You can cancel your authorization by deleting your accounts and donation dates.
