“It is more blessed to give than receive.” Acts 20:35

Each Christmas season KCC takes up a collection to give to those in greater need than ourselves. This year the December Generosity Drive is being given to the Africa Church Planting Initiative (ACPI) to extend the gospel in some of the poorest rural parts of Africa.

The mission of ACPI is to resource and capacitate African leaders to establish reproducing churches in rural areas of Africa. The strategy is carried out through training African leaders, planting churches, and resourcing communities with practical economic development education and funding. The desire is for ACPI to be led by Africans in partnership with western Christians who have a heart to see the gospel advance on the continent of Africa.

ACPI is an initiative of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches, spearheaded by Matt Boyers at Crossroads Church in Wauseon, OH, along with two African directors.

ACPI works together with Pastor Robert Manda, who started the Pastoral Training Institute of Africa (PTIA). I serve on the PTIA board. PTIA trains up some of the pastors whom ACPI sends out to plant churches.

The money given this December will go toward training, supporting planters for a two year commitment, Bibles, simple structures for church buildings, speakers, chairs, and other such basics for planting rural African churches.  Additionally, out of the money given, we want to financially bless the churches whom we’ve already helped start.

Please pray for ACPI, and pray for how the Lord might use your giving to see the gospel go forth in rural Africa.
