Weekly Fighter Verse

Matthew 5:7-10
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Weekly New City Catechism

Question 33: Should those who have faith in Christ seek their salvation through their own works, or anywhere else?

Answer*: No, they should not, as everything necessary to salvation is found in Christ. To seek salvation through good works is a denial that Christ is the only Redeemer and Savior.

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS

October 1st & 8th | 1:30-3:30PM @ 2nd St Building

We believe that the church is the family of God on the mission of God. We love one another as brothers and sisters. Yet we are also missionaries who are teaming up to advance God’s kingdom. We believe this is best lived out in the context of covenant membership in a local church.

If you can only make one session, you can still pursue membership. You can makeup the session by listening to the Membership Matters podcast and then we will follow up with you. Please let us know if you are planning to attend by clicking on the corresponding button below.

KCC BUILDING RENOVATION UPDATES

2nd St. and Florence Ave. Locations

As we continue to work on the building renovations, we’ll try to keep you updated through the KCC Loop. We try to post pictures or other updates as needed so that we can all see the progress as well as the work that still needs to be completed.

Education Wing
– Painters are nearly done.
– Work on floor leveling in evenings this week. This process + carpet install could take a couple weeks.
– In addition to carpet upstairs, carpeting on the upper and lower west stairway/landing is targeted for replacement at this time as well. As part of this process, efforts will be taken to even out the stair treads on the lower west stairway to improve safety.

Florence Office
– Walls are nearly all framed in for the Kitchen and Office area.

KCC Loop Newsletter Prayer

We Would Love to Pray for You

Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
