WHEN YOU FAST: GUIDANCE FOR 21 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING

Kid's Corner

We have started our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting! We have put together a prayer prompt guide that has a suggested prayer focus and Scripture passage to pray for each day of the 21 days. We encourage everyone to fast from something and devote that time to prayer. Our hope in that these prompts will serve to launch you into prayer. We will also be sending out daily text reminders each day. And don’t forget about the Wednesday Prayer meetings at noon. You can join in person at the Commons or via Zoom.

FASTING: NOT JUST FOR ADULTS BUT KIDS TOO

Kid's Corner

Fasting is not just for adults. It is also a great opportunity for kids to learn how to identify pursuits in their little lives that distract them from the Lord and to willingly go without in order to focus of Jesus. Chelsea has written a great article to help parents think about how to help kids fast too.

Why should I be baptized?

Kid's Corner

Baptism Huddle—Jan 16th – We are hoping to baptize people on Sunday, January 30. If you’d like to explore being baptized as a believer, stay after the worship gathering for a Baptism Huddle on Jan 16 from 11:45-12:15. KCC pastors will be teaching what the Bible says about baptism and how we celebrate baptism in KCC. Feel free to take a free short booklet from the Welcome Table called, Why Should I Be Baptized?” by Bobby Jamieson.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
