Last Sunday we launched a new sermon series from the Book of Daniel called “Calm Courage in Chaotic Times.” I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that times are chaotic right now. With all the confusion and frustration, we can very easily lose sight on what it important. God is still sovereign, and nothing takes Him by surprise. As Christians, it takes wisdom and courage to live out Christian convictions, and we can take comfort that we serve the all-powerful God who gives the wisdom and courage to live faithfully as exiles.

CHURCH DISAGREEMENTS ARE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LOVE: A WORD ON MASKS

We have now been meeting indoors together at the YMCA for three months. During that time, it has become obvious that the virus has become prevalent in our area, with more than a few in our church having become sick, and all of us knowing people who have been sick or even died. As your pastors, we continue to have conversations about our approach to this pandemic, and to listen to the various perspectives of those in our church. We believe it is time for an update…

DEFIANCE UNITED PRAYER

Our church has been participating in 21 Days of Fasting, which culminates in a prayer gathering with other evangelical churches in Defiance, called “Defiance United Prayer.” This event will be hosted at Xperience Church (1500 N Clinton St Suite 3, Defiance, OH 43512) at 6:30pm. As it seems like the rest of the world is dividing, this will be a time to come together with other churches in Defiance as an expression of unity to pray. Due to social distancing and seating limitations, you will need to register in advance. Registration is FREE. Childcare will be available for children through Kindergarten.
