We are pleased to re-launch our children’s ministry starting this week. The nursery will be available for the entire worship gathering for ages 0-2 and King’s Kids will be during the sermon for ages 3-5. At this time, we will not have a King’s Kids class for K-2nd grade as we have had in the past. But we will have activity packets for elementary-aged children available on a table on the back wall of the worship space. I’m sure you have questions, such as: What precautions are you taking? How do I check in my child? These questions and more are answered in a blog post. Click on the button below for more information on what to expect for child check-in on Sunday.

WEDNESDAY NOON PRAYER

Prayer is a vital to our existence. It is something that we often fail to do because we don’t plan to do it. So we are planning to meet weekly on Wednesdays at 12pm at the Commons and on zoom to pray. Please join together as the body of Christ to pray. If you are in Defiance, come pray during lunch or join via Zoom if you don’t work in town. Join as you are making and eating lunch with your kids. We want to be a church that prays. Let’s consciously dependent on the Lord together.

CAN CHRISTIANS STILL PROPHESY TODAY?

In last Sunday’s sermon, Sam preached on Prophecy. What is it? Can Christians still prophesy today?  If so, what does that look like?

Historically, this is a controversial topic in the church.  You may ask, “What sane pastor would introduce yet another controversial topic in the midst of so much controversy already around masks and politics?”   Clearly, I am asking myself the same question.   This is a topic our church elders have hashed out together and not come to full agreement on regarding the minor details. Yet, we love and respect one another and have unity in the central truths of the gospel…
