If we learn anything from last Sunday’s sermon on the book of Hosea in the Old Testament, it’s that God is faithful to His people even when they are unfaithful to Him. He continues to love us even while we are pursing other loves. He is faithful in our darkest days of desperation and even our disobedience by giving us bright hope through Jesus, His Son. How do we know how much He loves us? Look at the cross. God loved us so much He gave His Son as a ransom for sin to bring us back to Him. Let us not forget that! Let the faithful and relentless love of our Father for us trump every other love and desire we have. Who can truly love us more than God? Let that be enough.

Refugee Christmas Drive

Kid's Corner

If you’ve ever seen the Voice of the Martyrs magazine floating around the Commons, you’ve thumbed through page after page of testimonies from people whose lives turned from darkness to light through salvation in Christ. Their encouraging stories are so often accompanied by the intense sacrifice of conversion in hostile places of the world. These new brothers and sisters walk incredibly hard roads of economic ruin, social isolation, and intense persecution because of their newly professed faith. For our generosity drive this Christmas, King’s Cross is focusing on creating a Compassion Fund for these kinds of brothers and sisters so that their basic needs can be met by the body of Christ, of which they are now apart…

Christmas Eve Service
December 24th
7pm @ 2nd Baptist Church

For Christmas Eve this year, we will be joining together with Second Baptist Church to celebrate together the first coming of Jesus! So come worship the King on December 24th @ 7pm at 2nd Baptist’s  church building in Defiance (1945 E. 2nd St.). As we have in the past, we will be taking up an offering for CPC: Women’s Health Resource. We will have coffee (decaf!), hot chocolate, and cookies to follow. It will be a great time to meet and worship with other believers in our own community!

Where’s That Book?!

Kid's Corner

Teaching King’s Crew has been a blast. The kids of this church family are so precious and so very smart. I (Chelsea) can see the work parents are putting into teaching their kids at home in every question answered bright and early Sunday mornings. What I celebrate most is the beautiful gospel foundation they have. They are not the kind of kids who answer questions with “Jesus!” because they don’t know what to say. They really know when he is the only true and right answer…

BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
