Kid's Corner

We are strengthening our emphasis on Discipleship Groups (DGs) this spring by providing more structure. DGs are 24 people of the same gender who meet regularly to discover Christ or grow in Christ. Most DGs meet bimonthly and at various times of the day. Last day to sign up is this Sunday.

Malawi Cyclone Relief

Kid's Corner

Recently, a cyclone (or tropical storm) called Ana hit southern African. The heavy rains, wind, and flooding has left thousands of people without basic shelter and food in some of the most poverty-stricken places in Madagascar, Malawi and Mozambique. Cyclone Ana also got worldwide attention in a Washington Post article. Among those affected are our ministry partners through the Southern Africa Church Planting Initiative (SACPI), including three church plants that KCC supports.

The people need to prepare their houses and the church building as well as emergency food relief. Since we support these church plants, we as a church are planning to help alleviate some of the suffering. KCC has committed to giving $3,250 to cover the costs of rebuilding the church building and the three church planters’ houses. If you want to give to the Malawi Cyclone Relief for our partner churches, you can either write a check to KCC (mark it “Malawi Cyclone Relief”) or give online by clicking on the button below. Any money given toward this will replenish what KCC has committed to give. If there is giving above and beyond the $3250, then we will give that to Malawi Cyclone Relief.

Global Missions Questionnaire

Kid's Corner

King’s Cross has dedicated much giving and prayer to the missionaries God has put in our path. The KCC global missions team has been working diligently to make sure the whole congregation knows who we support as a body by having Missions Moments once a month during our gathering. Toward that end, we are sending out a questionnaire to gauge what kinds of initiatives would help us increasingly become globally-minded Christians.

QUESTION: What does the law of God require?
ANSWER: Personal, perfect, and perpetual obedience; that we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love our neighbor as ourselves. What God forbids should never be done and what God commands should always be done.

Psalm 103:8-10 – “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.

We understand skepticism about online giving, which is why we have an Online Giving Frequently Asked Questions page on our website that explains how it works. Here are a few ways to give :

We know that with many businesses and services being shut down, people are losing jobs and struggling to pay their bills. If you are in need of help, we would like to know. We have a Compassion Fund for this reason. Fill out the film below as best you can and we will follow up with you.
