This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week where the church around the world reflects on the death of Jesus Christ.  We have two more weeks in our Daniel series, where we have seen that Christ is the Son of Man of Daniel 7.

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

Join us 7PM on Friday, April 2nd at the YMCA for Good Friday Communion.

Jesus not only died on the cross for our sins, but he demonstrated his power over death by being raised from the dead. That’s reason for celebration! In addition to gathering together to worship at 10AM, we will also be having a light breakfast beforehand at 9AM. So come out and enjoy some fellowship and some COVID-friendly snacks and drinks.

Perhaps more than any other biblical teaching, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is baffling to some and just down right impossible and irrational to others. But to Christians it is a glorious and indispensable truth. This year we are encouraging you all to invite someone to our Resurrection Sunday worship gathering on April 4th to hear about the good news of Jesus’ resurrection! We encourage you to pick up a copy of a short book on the facts and evidence of Jesus’ resurrection to give to a friend or neighbor and invite them to worship with us. You can also grab one for yourself to use as a conversation starter. The book is 80 pages and has short, readable chapter and will be available in the YMCA youth center lobby.

Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that is simulcast to over 50,000 participants around the world. Encouraged by our persecuted brothers and sisters’ example, we meet for over 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted. The theme this year is “The Great Imbalance.” Go and make disciples of all nations. A clear command and monumental charge from Jesus. Yet what if, despite our best intentions and sincerest efforts as the church to obey Jesus, we are actually ignoring what he said? This is what we will be learning about this year.

One of the purposes of Secret Church is to simulate what meeting as the body of Christ in secret is like in countries where it is hostile or even illegal to be a Christian. To this end, we encourage you to gather in small groups with other Christians if possible.

If you are interested in joining, please send a text stating “@KCCSC21” to the phone number: 81010 and reply to the confirming text with your name. Don’t register on the Secret Church website. Let us know you want to particpate, and we will register groups.

Help Wanted: KCC Video ministry

In the craziness of COVID-19, KCC started streaming our Sunday gatherings to Facebook and YouTube.  While we exhort everyone to come worship Christ in person with the gathered church, we all have good reason to stay home at times and are blessed by the video stream.

However, a new ministry needs a new ministry team.  Currently, the video ministry rests on the shoulders of two people.  So we are looking for a few new servant-hearted people to train for video ministry. You don’t have to know anything about video. We will train you. Contact Matt Verhoff if interested, or fill out this contact form.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

If you need prayer for anything, we would love to pray for you. Click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
