JESUS IS KING! The Bible teaches it, the disciples believed it, the church upholds it, and Kayne rapped about it. This was the theme of Sam’s sermon last Sunday. As we continue to fix our eyes on the cross, let’s keep in mind that Jesus is indeed the king. He has the authority to tell us how to live. No one else has that kind of rightful authority, not even ourselves. If Jesus is king, then we are not. Let’s live as people who truly believe that with our whole lives.

New Song:
King of Kings

We can never exhaust the truth that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The book of Luke has shown over and over that Jesus is king. He has authority over sickness, demons, and governments. This Sunday we are introducing a song highlighting the kingship of Jesus. From cradle to the cross, Jesus was and is king. This calls for a response of praise:

Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings

Wellspring Fayette Update

After much prayer and discussion, the leaders of Wellspring Fayette have decided to discontinue the Sunday night worship gathering. But they will continue to host a small group gathering for Bible study and prayer twice a month. This decision was made over the course of many months and a lot of input from trusted mentors. Ministry Facilitator, Peter Rupp, concluded, “Perhaps one thing you can take away from this is that sometimes it is ok for things to end. Starting new things is exciting and exhilarating, but ending them can cause confusion and doubt unless we are at peace with the sovereignty, goodness, and love of God in all things.” Please continue praying for the connections in Fayette and that the Lord will continue to build His church there.

QUESTION: What does God require in the fourth and fifth commandments?

ANSWER*: Fourth, that on the Sabbath day we spend time in public and private worship of God, rest from routine employment, serve the Lord and others, and so anticipate the eternal Sabbath. Fifth, that we love and honor our father and our mother, submitting to their godly discipline and direction.

*Children answer is the bold text

Psalm 103:17-19 – “But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
