The season leading up to Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday is both full of sorrow and joy. We are sorrowful as we remember what Jesus has done for us, which was the focus of last Sunday’s sermon. Jesus was put to death because of our sin. As the song “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” so aptly puts it:
Behold the man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
Indeed, our Father’s love for us is deep. And that calls for a joyful response. Again, this is a season full of sorrow and joy. But it ends with joy, as we will soon experience.

Embrace Life
2nd & 4th Tuesdays
5:45-7:30pm @ Cabin Fever Southside
Embrace Life is a ministry both to the community at large, and to KCC women that meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at Cabin Fever Southside from 5:45-7:30pm. Whether you’re married or single, whether you have a newborn or a 17-year old, the group is a welcome place for any mom. It is not a formal Bible study but very open to women who may not have had any experience with Christianity. Many of the moms who attend have never owned or read a Bible. Believers are welcome to attend as well, with nearly all moms bringing some kind of struggle with unplanned pregnancy, trauma, or difficult life circumstances to the discussion. The goal is not necessarily to study a book of scripture together but rather to create a place where women feel comfortable processing the ups and downs of motherhood. For more information, you can contact us or read our blog about it.

NEW CITY CATECHISM: Question 15
QUESTION: Since no one can keep the law, what is its purpose?
ANSWER*: That we may know the holy nature and will of God, and the sinful nature and disobedience of our hearts; and thus our need of a Savior. The law also teaches and exhorts us to live a life worthy of our Savior.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU
We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
