One of the takeaways from last Sunday’s sermon is that we are weaker than we want to admit. An inaccurate understanding of the human tendency to give into sin is what ultimately led to both Judas and Peter turning their backs on Jesus. But there is a danger to avoid. If we only concentrate on our sinfulness, we will miss out of Jesus. He is stronger than we realize. Ultimately, Peter repented and came back to the Lord while Judas let his guilt consume him. Be encouraged that our sins are great but Jesus is greater. So be aware of your sin, but don’t let it overshadow what Jesus has already done for you on the cross.

Embrace Life
2nd & 4th Tuesdays
5:45-7:30pm @ Cabin Fever Southside

Kid's Corner

Embrace Life is a ministry both to the community at large, and to KCC women that meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at Cabin Fever Southside from 5:45-7:30pm. Whether you’re married or single, whether you have a newborn or a 17-year old, the group is a welcome place for any mom. It is not a formal Bible study but very open to women who may not have had any experience with Christianity. Many of the moms who attend have never owned or read a Bible. Believers are welcome to attend as well, with nearly all moms bringing some kind of struggle with unplanned pregnancy, trauma, or difficult life circumstances to the discussion. The goal is not necessarily to study a book of scripture together but rather to create a place where women feel comfortable processing the ups and downs of motherhood. For more information, you can contact us or read our blog about it.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
