The first line of one of the most familiar hymns starts, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” A second line could easily be, “Abba loves, me, this I feel, for the Spirit makes Him real.” This is what last Sunday‘s sermon was about. Not only do we have a Father who loves us, but we also have the Spirit that makes this love tangibly real to believers. Children of God are by the Spirit to kill sin as well as have inner assurance to cry out to God as “Abba, Father!” What a precious truth!

Table Talks are groups that come together for food and fellowship in homes once a month in June, July, and August. As a participant in Table Talks, you will be assigned to a small group that will meet with the same host family all three months. This is a great way to get to know one another and for visitors to get connected. If you would like more information or have an interest in hosting a group, contact Catherine Grunden or click on the button below.

May 16TH @ Latty Grove Park

When it comes to summer time, people often look forward to two major things: warmer weather and being outside. Why not also thrown sharing a meal with others? Join us in fellowship over a meal on May 16th immediately following our Sunday morning worship gathering at Latty Grove Park (610 Williams St. in Defiance). KCC will provide pizza. If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a side. If N-Z, bring a dessert. And bring games to play as well.

May 23RD

We are planning on having a Covenant Members’ Meeting right after the worship gathering on May 23rd. Last Sunday we gave a brief update from Pastor Robert Manda, church planting pastor and President of the Pastoral Training Institute of Africa (PTIA). PTIA exists to disciple and train church planters to plant healthy, reproducing, Christ-centered churches throughout Africa. In Malawi with over 80% of the population living in villages and almost no trained pastors there, the need for PTIA is great. There are millions of people in desperate need of gospel ministry with a population set to triple in the next 40 years. Here are some practical ways to pray for Malawi, Robert Manda, and PTIA:

-PTIA has successfully conducted third graduation
-God graciously provided finances for church building

-Finances for PTIA cohort in June 2021
    -Church members to grow spiritually
-Pray for Robert Manda and family

May 30TH

We believe baptism is a joyful response to the command of Christ and symbolizes our death to sin and resurrection to new life. So it is the delightful duty of all believers upon their profession of faith as a way of going public with their identity in Christ. So if you have not been baptized as a believer, we encourage you to consider being baptized on May 30th. If you are interested, click on the button below and fill out the contact form and we will follow up with you.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We recently re-launched Sunday Prayer Teams. These are KCC people who are ready and eager to pray for people as a part of the KCC worship gathering. Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. But the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
