Missions Moment
New Life Church – Toledo, OH

Kid's Corner

Last Sunday we got to hear from Mark and Nashwan, who are planting New Life Church in Toledo, Ohio; a Jesus centered, biblically based church consisting of both English and Arabic speakers united in Christ and their efforts to see Christ glorified by all peoples. They are being sent out from Synergy Ohio, a church planting wing of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches. There are an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 Arabic speaking people in the Detroit/Toledo area, and there is not an Arabic-speaking, evangelical church in the area. So there is a great need. Table Talks

Kid's Corner

Table Talks are a time to meet in smaller groups, enjoy a meal, fellowship, and deepen our relationships with one another by meeting once a month during June, July & August. As a participant in Table Talks, you will be assigned to a small group that will meet with the same host family all three months. We hope this will create opportunities for deeper friendships and build a stronger church family as a whole as well as build relationships with our brothers and sisters at Second Baptist Church. While we can’t accommodate everyone’s schedule, we hope you will make Table Talks a priority and modify your own schedule in order to attend. To sign up for a Table Talks group, click on the button below and fill out the form.

NEXT WEEK’S SERMON TEXT: Deuteronomy 29:29; Romans 11:33-36

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
