“No day is neutral. Be busy killing sin by the Spirit, or sin will be busy killing you.” There is great comfort that our sins have been paid for by Jesus on the cross, yet we will battle daily with sin. But there is also great comfort that Jesus did not leave us without hope. We have the Spirit of God living in us, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead that will also help us kill sin (Rom. 8:11). Sam preached last Sunday on putting sin to death by the power of the Spirit. This is easier said than done, but it can be done by the Spirit who indwells believers. So take heart. Jesus has overcome the world, and we too can overcome sin. But we must put sin to death by walking in obedience to God’s Word. Then the Spirit will give us victory.

2021 Defiance Community day of Prayer

You are invited to join the annual Defiance Day of Prayer Thursday, May 6th, virtually, via Zoom. This is a free event. The program will begin at noon and end at 12:30 PM. The keynote speaker this year will be our very own Phil Nofziger, Defiance Area Director and the NW Ohio Field Representative for LifeWise Academy. This year’s theme is centered around Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come and not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these,” and will feature prayers led by local community members. So if you are able, tune in to support Phil.

BAPTISM SUNDAY

We believe baptism is a joyful response to the command of Christ and symbolizes our death to sin and resurrection to new life. BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU

We recently re-launched Sunday Prayer Teams. These are KCC people who are ready and eager to pray for people as a part of the KCC worship gathering. Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. But the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
