Jesus sent the Spirit for His mission, so obey Him!” This was one of the takeaways from last Sunday’s sermon. Jesus has given the church a job to do: go and make disciples of all nations. And He has given us His Spirit to do so.
Despite the globalization of today compared to 2,000 years ago, there are still an estimated 3 billion people worldwide who have no access to the gospel. It’s not that these people have a worship gathering around the corner but just don’t attend, but that they literally have very little or no gospel access, church gathering, or even known Christian influence. The Great Commission is still an urgent call today. Is the Lord stirring up your heart for taking the gospel to unreached places?

New Song:
Bless The Lord, O My Soul (Psalm 103)

In Colossians 3:16, the Apostle Paul encourages believers, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” One of the means in which he mentions is by singing psalms. The Book of Psalms is the songbook and prayerbook of the Bible. The psalms are the inspired word of God and the songs that Jesus sang. Not only do they teach us how to pray, but they also teach us how to sing and pour out our hearts to God. The psalms speak to the depth and breadth of human emotion and are full of praise, lament, thanksgiving, confession, and glimpses of the Messiah.

At KCC we have intentionally introduced modern arrangements based on specific psalms in Scriptures. In the next few weeks, we will be introducing “Bless the Lord, O My Soul (Psalm 103).” It is a psalm speaking about the glories of God’s character. It also calls us to “bless” the Lord, which simply means to praise Him. So listen start listening to this song to get the Word of God in your hearts as we prepare to bless the Lord together on Sunday.

NEW CITY CATECHISM: Question 18

QUESTION: Will God allow our disobedience and idolatry to go unpunished?

ANSWER*: No, every sin is against the sovereignty, holiness, and goodness of God, and against his righteous law, and God is righteously angry with our sins and will punish them in his just judgment both in this life, and in the life to come.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
