In last Sunday’s sermon, we learned that God tests us to approve our faith while Satan tempts us to disprove our faith, so we should trust the tester and not the tempter. For Christians, we know that we deal with temptation and sin now, but ultimately we have victory in Jesus’ victory on the cross. When we give into temptation, we have a loving and forgiving God we can rely on. We can trust in Him because we know He is faithful even when we are not. In our war against sin, we do well to know the tactics of our enemy, the devil. A great resource for spiritual warfare is Thomas Brooks’ Precious Remedies Against Satan’s Devices. This book was written in 1652 but is very relevant today. You may struggle a bit with some of the older-style language, but this thoroughly biblical resource will help you identify Satan’s devices to tempt us and then provide practical remedies to help us resist him.

LifeWise Academy Prayer Gathering
Thursday, June 24th
6:30-7:30pm @ First Baptist (Defiance)

Please come out and join us Thursday, June 24th from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. to pray for the Defiance Area LifeWise Academies. This meeting will take place at First Baptist Church, 1399 Jefferson Ave. We will hear a brief update about Defiance and Ayersville LifeWise and will be praying for the specific ministry needs. We want to glorify God for the open doors that He has provided to start the LifeWise Ministry at Ayersville and Defiance Schools and thank Him for the opportunity to reach children with the truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

All Church Picnic
Sunday, June 27th

Join us in fellowship over a meal on this Sunday, June 27th, immediately following our Sunday morning worship gathering at Latty Grove Park (610 Williams St. in Defiance). This time we will NOT be doing a potluck-style picnic but rather a bring-your own-lunch picnic. So pack some sack lunches or go and grab something nearby and head to the park. And bring games to play as well.

Students entering 3rd grade up to having completed 5th grade are invited to gather this upcoming Tuesday, from 4-5:30pm at Phil and Robin Nofziger’s home (1209 Fallen Timbers Dr) to learn more about the characteristics of God. If you are able and willing to help or have any questions, please reach out to Robin Nofziger or Courtney Herendeen.

KCC 2021 Summer Calendar

Almost a year ago, we decided to make a new KCC t-shirt. Well, after some complications, we finally got one made. Now it’s available. If you originally signed up for a t-shirt, we have them reserved for you. But we also have extras. So if you would like a KCC t-shirt, we have them available for $10 @ the Commons.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
