If you didn’t get to listen to Nate Hamblin’s sermon on the goodness of Jesus’ lordship, go back and listen to it. Many of us go about our day without even a thought about God. We make plans and rarely think about how we can live for His glory. The Letter of James calls this for what it is: arrogant. When we think, whether consciously or not, we don’t really need God, we will live and plan without Him in the picture. This is arrogance. We are dependent on Him for our very lives. We may not have to qualify every plan or statement with “if the Lord wills,” but it’s definitely not less than that. Planning our lives around this temporary existence is foolish. We are but a mist. Planning our lives around the eternal Creator is wise. It puts life in perspective and allows us to prioritize living in light of eternity.

Guys’ Hangout
Friday, August 27th
7pm @ Putt-Putt Defiance
We are calling all guys to bring their A-game on Friday, August 27th @ 7pm for laser tag at Putt-Putt in Defiance. Of course, there are other things to do, such as go-karts, putt-putt golf, batting cages, and arcades. Each game ranges from $2-7, which can add up quickly, but the first one is on KCC. Feel free to bring sons at your discretion. All the games are family friendly and appropriate for school-aged children. No need to RSVP. Just show up.
KCC T-SHIRTS
Almost a year ago, we decided to make a new KCC t-shirt. Well, after some complications, we finally got one made. Now it’s available. If you originally signed up for a t-shirt, we have them reserved for you. But we also have extras. So if you would like a KCC t-shirt, we have them available for $10 @ the YMCA.
BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC
Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.
If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.
WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU
We would love to pray for you! Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. So the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
