What will meeting at the YMCA look like?

We’re officially meeting for gathered worship at the Defiance YMCA this Sunday, October 4th @ 10am. Now, you probably have many questions about the move, such as:

  • What is the plan with COVID restrictions?
  • What about wearing masks?
  • What about childcare and King’s Kids?
  • What will the seating look like?
  • Will we still livestream the worship gathering on Facebook?
  • What entrance to the YMCA do we use?
  • Will there be coffee?

Sam has written a blog post to answer these questions and more. You can read more about this by clicking the button below.

Deadline: October 1st (tomorrow)

Location for both groups is still to be determined.

Last Sunday we passed out some business card size invites as a way of equipping KCC to invite people into gospel conversations. Rather than just say, “Go proclaim the gospel!,” Sam recorded this short video to walk you through how to use this simple tool to tell others about the good news about Jesus.

People who are involved in religion tend to have lower rates of drug use, higher levels of happiness, and longer lives. But does religion actually cause any of that? This podcast from Freakonomics seeks to answer the question, “Is the Protestant Work Ethic Real?”

In light of last Sunday’s sermon on the theme of work, you can listen to more about God-glorifying work from KCC’s sermon series on work from 2015. Some of the sermone themes include “The Frustration of Work” and “Rest Matters.”
