A recent Gallup Poll survey found that for the first time in 80 years, Americans’ membership in houses of worship dropped below 50 percent. The decline in church membership appears to be primarily a result of more Americans expressing no religious preference. The church more than ever needs to be intentional about outreach and discipleship. One way we seek to do this is by affirming together during our Sunday morning worship gathering the New City Catechism, a modern-day resource aimed at helping children and adults alike learn the core doctrines of the Christian faith in 52 questions and answers, one for each week of the year. This free resource as a Web App or Mobile App. Each question and answer has the choice between a simplified children’s answer as well as a more in-depth adult answer, Scripture passage, short commentary, and a kid-friendly song as a fun way to learn these core truths of the Christian faith. This is just one of many ways to grow in knowledge of the Lord and the Bible. Another way is through serving in community with others. Scroll down for opportunities to get involved in the community.

Bring a side, dessert, and games to play.
BIBLICAL COUNSELING at KCC
Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.
If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.
WE WOULD LOVE TO PRAY FOR YOU
We recently re-launched Sunday Prayer Teams. These are KCC people who are ready and eager to pray for people as a part of the KCC worship gathering. Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. But the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
