This week I attended a gospel conference that had an attendance of thousands in person and was broadcasted to over 28,000 people throughout the world, of which half the viewers were from Spanish-speaking countries. The fact that exponentially more people who attended this conference were from outside America is telling. In a country that has nearly unlimited access to quality theological education, Christianity is growing at an exponential rate in other countries so much that believers are tuning into an American conference to hear God’s Word proclaimed. God is indeed moving in other countries. But we don’t have to go to another part of the world to see God at work. He is working in our country as well, sometimes in our very backyards. Below you will find just a handful of ways God is using people to expand His kingdom. Read on and join the work!

Missions Moment: Peter and Lydia Rupp

Peter and Lydia shared last Sunday about the progress of their church planting efforts in Fayette, OH (Click HERE if you missed his update). The Lord has been working in Fayette. Just recently the core group secured a building in which to meet. They will be starting renovations on it soon. They plan to start evening worship gatherings outdoors on June 6th and indoors (Lord-willing) on September 12th. In the meantime, pray for the receptivity of Wellspring by the Fayette community, people in Fayette to come to truly know God and worship Him, and for the Lord to bring together a strong launch team. If you would like to learn more about the church plant, help with renovation projects, or join the launch group, click on the button below.

We will be hosting a Membership Matters class on two consecutive Sundays, April 18th and 25th, from 1:30-3:30pm at the Commons and on Zoom for those interested in learning more about KCC membership. We believe that the church is the family of God on the mission of God. We love one another as brothers and sisters. Yet we are also missionaries who are teaming up to advance God’s kingdom. We believe this is best lived out in the context of covenant membership in a local church.

If you are still interested in covenant membership but cannot make the classes, you can listen to the Membership Matters Podcast and meeting a couple times with a KCC elder or member on an individual basis. For more information or to sign up, click on the button below.

Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that is simulcast to over 50,000 participants around the world. Encouraged by our persecuted brothers and sisters’ example, we meet for over 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted. The theme this year is “The Great Imbalance.” Go and make disciples of all nations. A clear command and monumental charge from Jesus. Yet what if, despite our best intentions and sincerest efforts as the church to obey Jesus, we are actually ignoring what he said? This is what we will be learning about this year.

One of the purposes of Secret Church is to simulate what meeting as the body of Christ in secret is like in countries where it is hostile or even illegal to be a Christian. To this end, we encourage you to gather in small groups with other Christians if possible. If you would like to host a Secret Church meeting at your home, please let us know.

King’s Cross Church in Lyons, KS Update

Here is a short, video update from Caleb Barrows and King’s Cross Church in Lyons, KS. Click on the graphic above to watch.

Life is full of things to be discouraged about, and it can be overwhelming. We believe that Jesus offers real help, hope, and healing in the difficulties of life. We believe that the power of God’s Word and Spirit offers hope of life change from the inside out. So we offer biblical counseling to those needing the comfort and wisdom of Scripture. While we believe God can work through various methods of counseling, our lead counselor is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We also have pastors and other counselors who have received training from Faith Biblical Counseling, and are able and willing to counsel according to the Scriptures.

If you would like to explore meeting with one of our counselors, please fill out the contact form by clicking on the button below and we will try to match you with someone.

We recently re-launched Sunday Prayer Teams. These are KCC people who are ready and eager to pray for people as a part of the KCC worship gathering. Some people think that only major crises of life are worth praying for, but the truth is that everyone needs prayer for something. James 4:2 says that we do not have because we do not ask, and when we do we often have false or impure motives. But the first step is to ask. So please come and let us pray for you in person at our Sunday worship gathering. Or, if you would like prayer now, just click the button below and fill out the form and we will pray for you.
