Times & Location
Worship Gathering: 9:30am
Location: Independence Dam State Park
What to Expect
We recognize that it can be strange to visit a church. We’ll try to answer some questions that might come up. And on Sunday mornings there will always be members of King’s Cross available to help answer any further questions you might have.
What is the worship gathering like?
Our hope is that our worship gatherings are clear and understandable, yet also rich and deep. We worship God with both contemporary and historical forms and styles. So we sing a variety of songs and hymns to glorify God and encourage each other.
Feel free to listen to the playlists on the right to become familiar with some of the songs we sing and the songs we’re going to be singing this Sunday. You can also follow the playlists if you would like to listen to them regularly.
Every week there will be a sermon preached from the Bible. And in our teaching, we love to see how God speaks to us from His Word about knowing Jesus, and how he shapes the everyday, nitty-gritty nature of our lives. And every first and third Sunday of the month we also celebrate communion together.
We hope everyone who comes to learn and worship with us will feel free to come as they are. There are no rules about either dressing up or dressing down.
What are Equipping Classes?
Equipping Classes “equips” believers for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:11) through biblical classroom instruction. You’ve probably heard the axiom, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” The purpose of Equipping Classes is to help believers grow deeper with the Lord (teach a man to fish) so that they will be better able to understand and apply the Bible to their lives and become a better minister of the gospel to others (feed him for a lifetime).
Equipping Classes are for all ages and are from 9:15-10am on Sunday mornings before our worship gathering and are on 12-week semesters with one set in the fall (September through November) and the other set in the winter/spring (mid-January into April).
EQUIPPING ARE ON BREAK RIGHT NOW.
What about my kids?
During summer 2020, we are not offering nursery on Sunday mornings. We would invite any child ages 3 years old through 2nd grade to come to King’s Kids on Thursdays at 3:30pm on Zoom. Click the button below for more information on our King’s Kids ministry.
