Worship THROUGH SONG

PRAISE TO THE LORD THE ALMIGHTY

VERSE 1
Praise to the Lord the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul praise Him
For He is thy help and salvation
All ye who hear
Now to His temple draw near
Praise Him in glad adoration

VERSE 2
Praise to the Lord Who o’er all things
So wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings
Yea so gently sustaineth
Hast thou not seen
How thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth

VERSE 3
Praise to the Lord Who doth prosper
Thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy
here daily attend thee
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee

VERSE 4
Praise to the Lord
O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the amen
Sound from His people again
Gladly for all we adore Him

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD

VERSE 1
The splendor of a King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice

CHORUS
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
All will see how great
How great is our God

VERSE 2
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end
The Godhead, three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

CHORUS
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
All will see how great
How great is our God

BRIDGE
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
And my heart will sing
How great is our God

BRIDGE
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
And my heart will sing
How great is our God

CHORUS
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
All will see how great
How great is our God

CHORUS
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
All will see how great
How great is our God

SHINE INTO OUR NIGHT

VERSE 1
We are not what we should be
We haven’t sought
What we should seek
We’ve seen Your glory, Lord
But looked away
Our hearts are bent
Our eyes are dim
Our finest works
Are stained with sin
And emptiness has shadowed
All our ways

CHORUS
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Drive our dark away
Till Your glory fills our eyes
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Bind us to Your cross
Where we find life

VERSE 2
Still we often go astray
We chase the world
Forget Your grace
But You have never failed
To bring us back
Reveal the depths
Of what You’ve done
The death You died
The vict’ry won
You made a way for us
To know Your love

CHORUS
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Drive our dark away
Till Your glory fills our eyes
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Bind us to Your cross
Where we find life

CHORUS
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Drive our dark away
Till Your glory fills our eyes
Jesus Christ,
Shine into our night
Bind us to Your cross
Where we find life

CHRIST IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED

VERSE 1
How can it be
The One who died
Has borne our sin
Through sacrifice
To conquer every
Sting of death
Sing, sing,  “Hallelujah!”
For joy awakes
As dawning light
When Christ’s disciples
Lift their eyes
Alive, He stands
Their Friend and King
Christ, Christ He is risen

CHORUS
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed
Oh sing, “Hallelujah!”
Join the chorus sing
With the redeemed
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed

VERSE 2
Where doubt and darkness
Once had been
They saw Him and
Their hearts believed
But blessed are those
Who have not seen
Yet sing, “Hallelujah!”
Once bound by fear
Now bold in faith
They preached the
Truth and power of grace
And pouring out their
Lives they gained
Life, life everlasting

 CHORUS
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed
Oh sing, “Hallelujah!”
Join the chorus sing
With the redeemed
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed

VERSE 3
The power that raised
Him from the grave
Now works in us
To powerfully save
He frees our hearts
To live His grace
Go tell of His goodness

 CHORUS
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed
Oh sing, “Hallelujah!”
Join the chorus sing
With the redeemed
Christ is risen
He is risen indeed

BRIDGE
He is Risen
He’s alive, He’s alive
Heaven’s gates
Are opened wide
He’s alive, He’s alive
Now in heaven glorified
He’s alive, He’s alive
Heaven’s gates
Are opened wide
He’s alive, He’s alive
Now in heaven glorified
He’s alive

Sermon

1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 – Samuel Andres

WE REST ON THEE

VERSE 1
We rest on Thee, our Shield
And our Defender
We go not forth
Alone against the foe
Strong in Thy strength
Safe in Thy keeping tender
We rest on Thee
And in Thy Name we go

VERSE 2
Yes, in Thy Name
O Captain of salvation
In Thy dear Name
All other names above
Jesus our Righteousness
Our sure Foundation
Our Prince of glory
And our King of love

CHORUS
Jesus, send Your power now
That Your grace
May be made known
Through the abiding
And the loving hearts
Of Your saints
Before Your throne
We come before Your throne

VERSE 3
We go in faith
Our own great weakness feeling
And needing more
Each day Thy grace to know
Yet from our hearts
A song of triumph peeling
We rest on Thee
And in Thy Name we go

CHORUS
Jesus, send Your power now
That Your grace
May be made known
Through the abiding
And the loving hearts
Of Your saints
Before Your throne
We come before Your throne

VERSE 4
We rest on Thee
Our Shield and our Defender
Thine is the battle
Thine shall be the praise
When passing through
The gates of pearly splendor
Victors, we rest with Thee
Through endless days
