Grace Marriage is an exciting ministry designed to enrich, protect, and grow your marriage. Using Biblical, grace-based materials you will have time to talk with your spouse and explore ways to enrich your relationship. Grace Marriage is an intentional commitment to grow in your relationship with each other and the Lord.
KCC did Grace Marriage last year and 29 couples signed up and loved it. Each year of Grace Marriage will have new content and some overlap from last year. If you participated in GM last year you can do it again. If you didn’t participate last year, you can jump in without missing a beat.
Four times a year husbands and wives meet on Saturday mornings for Grace Marriage. The sessions are called marriage coaching. Marriage coaching is an intentional and proactive approach to re-focus on positives in your relationship. Marriage coaching is not a lecture. It is not marriage counseling or group therapy. It is not a seminar or conference. It is not a place where you will be forced to share your deepest secrets. Quite simply, it is a Biblically-based marriage maintenance model that can revolutionize your relationship. Couples in their 20s to couples in their 80s are involved in Grace Marriage groups and have been greatly blessed by participating!
When and where is Grace marrage
Sessions will be held the following Saturdays at the Fellowship Hall building from 8:30am – 12:30pm.

Breakfast and snacks are included. Participation requires making a commitment to attend all four sessions (but if you can’t attend one, you can still benefit). Any married couple may attend. A couple does not have to be a member of our church to participate.
WHO WILL WE BE WITH?
You will be in a group with your spouse as well as other couples who want their marriage to be strengthened. Sitting at round tables, you will walk through the day’s material together. Spouses will have personal time together throughout the day to privately discuss the topics addressed. Groups will have mixed ages. Newly marrieds as well as couples who have been married for decades will be involved. Remember, Grace Marriage is about spending time with your spouse, not about being with close friends. Although you will get to know others in your group better, the purpose is to spend time with your husband/wife and focus on your marriage.
WHAT ABOUT CHILDCARE?
Grace Marriage sessions last four hours. That is a long time for children to be at the church building, even if they have activities. We believe that most children would be happier in their own home or with family/friends they know. We also want to give couples freedom to focus on each other without feeling the need to check on the kids if they are just down the hallway. For these reasons childcare will not be offered. Consider the coaching days as an extended date – time for just the two of you. While childcare is not being provided at the building, a fund is available to those who could use assistance with the cost of childcare (contact us for more info at hello@kingscrossdefiance.com or 419.966.8689).
WHAT DOES IT COST?
What does a normal date night cost if you go out to eat and see a movie, or if you go to a ballgame or concert? $75? $100? More? The cost for four days, including all materials, snacks, etc is just $200 per couple for the year. That is less than $1 a day for a year. We encourage you to consider your participation fee as an investment in your marriage. What a great Christmas, birthday, or anniversary gift. If finances are a barrier, $100 scholarships are available.
HOW DO WE SIGN-UP?
You can sign-up on the homepage of the church app, online, or in the church lobby with a paper registration form. A non-refundable fee of $50 is due upon signing up, and the balance is due by the first session on February 10. You may pay online or by check at the Grace Marriage signup table. Please put “Grace Marriage” in the memo line.
