EASTER AT KING’S CROSS CHURCH
We invite you to join us at our Easter services this year! Easter is a time where we especially mourn the death of Jesus on a cross (Good Friday) and joyfully celebrate His resurrection (Easter Sunday). The song Christ Is Risen, He Is Risen Indeed by Keith and Kristyn Getty beautifully describes how Good Friday leads into Easter Sunday.
“How can it be, the One who diedHas borne our sin through sacrificeTo conquer every sting of deathSing, sing hallelujahFor joy awakes as dawning lightWhen Christ’s disciples lift their eyesAlive He stands, their friend and kingChrist, Christ, He is risen”
And so, when we gather on Easter Sunday, we gather to worship a Risen Savior! Our salvation is secure because Jesus not only paid for our sins on the cross but rose again to show that he has indeed conquered sin and death for all of eternity.
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE DETAILS
Friday, April 3 | 6:00-7:00 PM | Sanctuary
Join us in the evening on the Friday before Easter to dwell on the purpose of Christ’s suffering and death on the cross. Jesus was not just suffering to suffer; he was accomplishing salvation for all who would come to him. That’s what makes this sorrowful Friday good. Childcare will be provided from 0-3 years old.
EASTER SUNDAY SERVICE DETAILS
Sunday, April 5 | 8:30 AM & 10:30 AM | Breakfast 9:45 – 10:30 AM
In order to accommodate more visitors, KCC will be having two Resurrection Sunday services in 2026! The two services will be identical, so we welcome you to join whichever service will best for you. We will also enjoy a breakfast together in the time slot in between services. Childcare for ages 0-2nd grade will be provided for both services.
EASTER BREAKFAST DETAILS
Breakfast 9:45 – 10:30 AM | Fellowship Hall
We invite you to join us for an Easter Sunday Breakfast between the two services, in the Fellowship Hall across the parking lot from our main building. If you have a dish you’d like to share, we’d love to have you bring it. To enjoy this time together, we encourage you to stay after the first service or arrive early for the second service.
WHY SHOULD I INVITE A FRIEND?
The Gospel isn’t good advice; it’s good news. More than that, it is a proclamation of what is true. Jesus has risen! He has risen indeed! Built into the Gospel message is the assumption that Christians will share this message with our neighbors, friends and family, all the way to the ends of the earth! We’ve got plenty of invitations to hand out and so be thinking of creative ways to invite your friends and neighbors to our Easter gatherings. Just letting someone know that you care about them and that they are invited to our gathering can be a powerful way to remind them that they matter to God and to you!
